Ashley Rougeou Ramsey received her professional training as a Physician Assistant from the Louisiana State University's Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Upon graduation, Ashley returned home to Lafayette and began practicing at TotalCare Health and Wellness in 2009. From the moment she began to practice, her goal was to strive to improve the health and quality of life of her patients. She attended numerous functional medicine and anti-aging training conferences and workshops. The integrative approach to health and prevention continued to inspire her and she went on to achieve her diplomate certification from the American Academy Anti-Aging Health Practitioners.

Dr. Uyen Chu
Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Uyen Chu is a general and bariatric surgeon. She was one of the first general surgeons in the region to be trained in laparoscopic surgery on the colon, stomach, esophagus, spleen, pancreas and adrenal gland.
Dr. Chu earned a medical degree from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans before completing a research fellowship at the University of Florida Health Science Center, Division of Trauma/Critical Care in Jacksonville, Fla., where she also performed a general surgery residency. She later completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, a laparoscopic bariatric mini-fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia, a laparoscopic bariatric master's course and Approaches to Bariatric Revision Surgery course at the Endo-Surgery Institute and a duodenal switch procedure for bariatric surgeons' course at St. Mary's Medical Center. Dr. Chu is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Lafayette Parish Medical Society and Louisiana State Medical Society.
