ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Hi my name is Kristen Scott Vercher!
I am a wife to my husband Steven.
I am a mother to my 4 kiddos.
I am a certified personal trainer for going on 8 years now.
My life is full of adventure! Growing up I was always active. Softball, cheerleading, weightlifting, dancing--you name it and I did it! I was that kid doing crunches before going to the water park. I enjoyed every bit of moving and staying healthy.
That all changed the summer going into my freshman year of high school when I got into a bad car accident that left me with scoliosis and countless other injuries. I was told I would never be able to cheer, tumble, lift weights, or do anything active ever again.
Unwilling to accept defeat, I decided to join the swim team just to stay active and healthy and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. Slowly my strength returned and here I am years later: Active, healthy and a successful Certified Personal Trainer.
My core belief is that you should never let any body say you can’t do something!
7 years ago, when I was only 26 years old, I opened my own gym just for women! It's my passion to help women heal, and to help get their mind right and their bodies tight--which lead me to name my gym: Get it Right, Get it Tight!
I have always had a passion for fitness and I am grateful to live out my passion by helping women all over the world. I share in their struggles and help them achieve their goals.
As women, our bodies go through a lot. I myself am proof of that. In 2018 I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy but let me tell you: my body was put through the ringer! I went through adrenal fatigue coupled with horrible hormonal imbalance--and it took me a year after having him to let my body heal from the inside out. I had to get on hormone replacement therapy and completely start over. I learned how to honor my body, give it time to heal, and most importantly how to love my self despite feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I learned how to love myself back into wholeness--something I like to teach my ladies.
My transformation pictures start from following a meal plan, no exercising. Then, one year after having my baby and allowing my body to level back out with my HRT, I began body building prep. I first started training to compete in November of 2015, prepping for a Figure body building competition. And just switched over to the new Wellness class July 2020! My photos below show the before and afters of the show from January to July--all achieved during a pandemic, a lock down, and using backyard workouts.
